Our engaging and interactive Adult MHFA course enables individuals to become a certified Adult Mental Health First Aider. We use experience working on film and TV productions to relate the ALGEE action plan to scenarios specific to the creative industries: on set, on a shoot, in a workshop and in the production office.

We offer an additional Psychological Safety module, designed by Dolly Mental Health, as an optional extension to the MHFA England two-day course. This bespoke learning complements the accredited training by exploring how to create safer, more supportive working environments. Ongoing support and quarterly check-ins are included as standard.

If you want a tailored course for your team we can provide in house training for groups of 6+ participants, working to your schedule, adapting the MHFA training to your production.

By the end of the course you and your colleagues will have:

  • A greater understanding of mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, suicide, self-harm, psychosis and eating disorders.

  • Built confidence to approach someone who is showing signs of illness.

  • Learnt how to listen effectively to someone in distress.

  • Gained knowledge of what forms of support are available.

This course is a powerful and rewarding investment in key members of staff to ensure that moving forwards, all of your workforce can benefit from qualified team members trained to look out for their mental health needs.

Method: 2 day training session online via zoom or face to face for groups of 6 or more

Participants: Up to 16 people

In House Costs: Up to 6 people - £2160/ Up to 10 people - £3240/ Up to 16 people - £5000

For in house training a 50% charge occurs if there is a date change or cancellation after the point of booking. For individual bookings no refunds are possible but you can move to a different course date once at no additional charge. If you move your place more than once it is an additional £50 charge. The course requires to be completed within 6 months of booking.
